Product Information
A polyurethane-based foaming vinyl that makes a self-expansion by heating.
Before the transfer process, it appears as a normal heat transfer vinyl; however, it expands under heat.
When Puff HTV is applied to a pure polyester material, particularly lightweight material, the vinyl will rise more.
Instructions for Applying Puff 3D Heat Transfer Vinyl
After numerous attempts and experiments, we eventually discovered the optimal method for applying puff 3D heat transfer vinyl. Follow these steps to achieve the best results:
- Optimal Heat and Time Settings:
- Press firmly and directly onto the transfer at 155 degrees Celsius for 8 seconds– Black, White, Royal Blue, Grey, Red, Fuchsia, Pink, Sky Blue, Neon Yellow, Neon Pink, Neon Green.
- Press firmly and directly onto the transfer at 155 degrees Celsius for 16-25 seconds– Apple Green, Green, Orange Yellow, Camel, Dark Purple, Neon Orange.
- Adjusting for Your Specific Heat Press:
- We recommend experimenting with temperatures to find the ideal setting for your specific heat press.
- Ensuring Even Pressure:
- Even pressure is crucial and can significantly impact the outcome of the transfer.
- Considering Garment Material:
- The material of the garment plays a significant role. Lighter materials tend to lift the vinyl more, resulting in more pronounced puffiness.
- Aiming Pressure Precisely:
- Ensure the pressure of the heat press is precisely aimed at the Puff PU transfer. This tip is particularly important when using a small heat press, such as a Cricut press.

HTV Puff, also known as 3D vinyl, you can buy in the following cuts:
• Formatted cuts of 20cm x 25cm, 30cm x 50cm and 50cm x 1M
• For bespoke cuts, enter the number of meters you require into the quantity box. An example, for 50cm x 5M, enter in ‘5’.
Standard roll size: 50cm wide, 25M maximum continuous roll length (in some cases the film may be joined)

- Prepare Your Design:
- Cut your text or design in reverse and weed out the excess film.
- Equipment Specifications:
- Plotter: Roland GX-24
- Blade: 45°
- Force: 130~160g/f
- Speed: 15cm/sec
- Depth: 0.3~0.6mm
- Cutting Notes:
- Always conduct a test cut before beginning any production run.
- Weeding may vary depending on your cutting blade and depth.
- Note that each cutting machine or plotter may have different settings.
Application Guidelines
For optimal results, follow these steps when applying your transfer:
- Heat Press Settings:
- Set your heat press to a temperature 155°C.
- Pressure Application:
- Apply firm and direct pressure onto your transfer during application.
- Pressing Time:
- Press firmly and directly onto the transfer at 155 degrees Celsius for 8 seconds– Black, White, Royal Blue, Grey, Red, Fuchsia, Pink, Sky Blue, Neon Yellow, Neon Pink, Neon Green.
- Press firmly and directly onto the transfer at 155 degrees Celsius for 16-25 seconds– Apple Green, Green, Orange Yellow, Camel, Dark Purple, Neon Orange.
- Peeling Instructions:
- Peel the release liner when the transfer is hot or warm.
Wash Care Guidelines
To maintain the quality of your transfer, follow these washing instructions:
- Wash inside out, up to 30 degrees, using a gentle cycle.
- Tumble dry on low heat.
Storage
Proper storage ensures longevity:
